We had never built a home, and John & Brenda Johnson at Vista Verde Custom Homes made the process easy and, actually, fun. From the day we walked our lot in Point Venture to the day we were handed the keys to our new home, we were involved in every phase of the build. John & Brenda found the wood worker to build our wood kitchen and bathroom countertops and suggested wood look tile (which is beautiful) for our flooring. We are so happy with the final results and are pleased that the Johnsons included us in all the decision making (even the red kitchen cabinets). I worked with Vista Verde on the construction of my home in Lago Vista, and the entire process was very smooth, with none of the hard sale tactics or hidden costs you might encounter with some other builders. The owner John was easy to work with and quite knowledgeable on the construction side of things, often making helpful suggestions on details of the home that the average buyer might not have considered. Brenda helped make the selection process for various items like flooring, paint, and other cosmetic options as easy as possible. Everything was done within the contracted budget and along the timeline that John initially gave me when starting. To sum it up, I had one of the top new construction inspectors in the Austin area (a former general contractor himself) say after the final inspection that it was one of the better built homes he'd seen around Lago Vista, finding no major issues during either the framing or final inspection.
